- 80% Sauvignon Blanc 20% Chardonnay
- Two stage harvest & Wild Ferment
- Minerality & Herbaceous
Nestled in Robe, Karatta House, named for the Aboriginal ‘meeting of the waters,’ stands as a testament to history and restoration. Built in 1858 and revived by the Woods family in 1988, this landmark inspires the Karatta Road Field Blend Sauvignon Blanc.
This blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Chardonnay begins with stainless steel fermentation for Sauvignon Blanc, followed by wild fermentation in seasoned oak barrels. The Chardonnay ferments for 12 days as cloudy juice before both are blended and matured for six months.
Savour the lively flavours of cut grass, zesty lemon, and grapefruit, with herbaceous undertones, capturing the unique terroir of the vineyard.
